Interactions with biomedical data support several kinds of insights

A recent article published in IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics shows how patterns of interaction during visual exploration of data can lead to several different kinds of insights. The research continues the collaboration of Aalto University, Institute for Molecular Medicine Finland (FIMM), University of Helsinki and VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland on MediSyn, a visualisation tool for uncertainty-aware exploration of biomedical data sets. The interactions enabled by MediSyn are selecting, connecting, elaborating, exploring, and sharing.
