Graphics, Vision, Materials, and Optimization

Abstract:

In this talk, I will describe my work that started in photorealistic material appearance capture for realistic graphics applications, and has, since my thesis, expanded into broader problems combining graphics, vision, optimization, and machine learning. Additionally, I will briefly describe fresh results that set a dramatic new state of the art in image restoration from bursts of badly corrupted pictures.
